34th Annual Trustee Benefit Concert & Gala
34th Annual Trustee Benefit Concert & Gala is Saturday, March 8, 2014. The
university’s signature event raises much-needed scholarship support, celebrates world-class
artists, and honors those who champion the performing arts in Chicago’s metropolitan area.
The 2014 Concert will feature a special performance by Emmy, Tony, and Golden-Globe nominated star Matthew Morrison. Acclaimed for his performances on Broadway in hits Hairspray, South Pacific, and The Light in the Piazza, and for his role as Mr. Schuester on the hit television show Glee, Morrison is a genuine “quintuple threat” – actor, dancer, singer, songwriter, and musician. The New York Times calls him “a talent of formidable versatility and intelligence.”
The evening will also include the presentation of Dominican’s 2014 Bravo Award to WTTW for the station’s longstanding commitment to performing arts programming. WTTW’s Phil Ponce, host of Chicago Tonight, will accept the award on behalf of the station.
Lund Auditorium, 5:00 p.m.
Reception and Dinner follow the Concert, approximately 6:30 p.m.
