Alumnae/i Weekend 2014 Schedule

Alumnae/i Weekend 2014 has something for everyone!  Whether you are from the Class of 1939 or the Class of 2009, you’ll be able to reconnect with classmates, sisters, faculty and friends.  Below is a preliminary schedule of the many events planned for your reunion.  Please note, the schedule is subject to change!  Please check back often as we will post frequent updates.

Friday, June 6

Check-In and Alumnae/i Weekend Welcome Center

1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Coughlin Commons for alumnae/i staying in Sister Jean Murray Hall
Lewis Alcove for alumnae/i staying off campus
Pick up your welcome packet and residence hall keys if you are staying on campus.
Note: Those celebrating their 25th Silver or 50th Golden Jubilee, please bring photos of you and your loved ones, to be posted on poster boards set up by your special hospitality rooms.

President’s Reception for the Class of 1964, 50th Golden Jubilee Celebrants

5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
President’s Home (transportation provided from Power Hall at 4:45)
The 50th Reunion class celebrates its golden jubilee with a special reception hosted by President Donna M. Carroll in her Oak Park home.

Opening Social

Join us for the official opening of Alumnae/i Weekend 2014 by enjoying wine and a variety of heavy appetizers and desserts.  Come enjoy time with fellow alumnae/i, faculty, staff, and the sisters.

The Underground (Old pool area)

Hosted by the Class of 1979 Reunion Committee
The Class of 1979 Reunion Committee is resurrecting the Beer Blast!  Whether you're reliving your RoCo days or experiencing a Beer Blast for the first time, join us in the Underground (former pool) and get ready to dance as DJ Terry Crozier '79 spins your favorite disco-era tunes.
Thanks to the generosity of the Class of 1979 Reunion Committee, there is no cover charge.  The Committee suggests a $20 donation at the door that will go toward student scholarships.
No pre-registration needed but RSVP to this event on Facebook so others will see who will be at the party!

Continental Breakfast

8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Continental breakfast is open to all Alumnae/i Weekend attendees. Stop by for Mound Bread.

President’s Circle Breakfast (By invitation only)

8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
In gratitude for their generous giving, President Donna M. Carroll will be hosting a special breakfast for all current President’s Circle members.  The President’s Circle is Dominican’s recognition society for annual giving of $1,000 or more.

Presidential Briefing on the State of the University

10:30 a.m. to Noon
President Donna M. Carroll will give an update on the university today.

Alumnae/i Luncheons

12:15 p.m.-2:00 p.m.
Separate luncheons will be held for the 50th reunion Golden Jubilee class, the 25th reunion Silver Jubilee class, Rosarian alumnae (class of 1963 and older), and a general luncheon for all remaining guests.

Rosary Chapel
This liturgy includes a candle and rose procession and the blessing of the silver and gold reunion pins for the 25th and 50th reunion classes.

Cocktail Reception

6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Crown Library and Patio

All Alumnae/i Awards Dinner

7:30p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
We will enjoy an elegant dinner together, while honoring distinguished alumnae/i with the presentation of the Caritas Veritas Award and the Graduate of the Last Decade (GOLD) Award. 
*This is the only dinner option on campus and there will be assigned seating by classes.

Alumnae/i After Dinner Lounge

9:00 p.m. to midnight 
The Underground
Keep the party going at this fun gathering with music from all eras. Cash bar will be available.
Note: Coffee, tea and desserts will also be available in the Coughlin Commons Multi-Purpose Room for those interested.
